Incoming mobility for Traineeship

The Department offers the possibility of curricular and/or training placements within some of its research laboratories to foreign students holding a scholarship at their home university to carry out international mobility for internships.

These activities are regulated by Erasmus inter-institutional agreements that the university has drawn up with the candidates' home institutions. If no agreement has been previously stipulated, a new agreement is defined or a Learning Agreement for Traineeship is signed.

Incoming traineeship activities at our university are supported by the “Erasmus Traineeship in Sardinia” (ETS) programme, which is aimed at university students enrolled at a university in the Erasmus+ partnership who hold a scholarship and who wish to carry out a traineeship in companies, institutions, private organisations and organisations in Sardinia with which the university has signed an agreement

Through this programme, a list of available internships (including some offered by the Department) is shared in which the applicant's requirements, language skills, training activities and the duration of the internship are specified. Students who apply and are selected through this programme will be matriculated at the University of Sassari, will enjoy the third-party and accident insurance cover provided by the University of Sassari, will also be able to attend courses and take exams, including free Italian language courses for foreigners, and will have free access to libraries and wifi connection. In addition, they will be able to take advantage of various other services of the university such as the university canteen, free medical assistance, access to the guidance and counselling service, discounts for means of transport and reduced rates for music and theatre and sports activities.

At the end of the mobility period, the student's attendance will be duly certified using the forms required by the programme for which the student is a grant beneficiary at their home university.
