Gian Felice Giaccu Associate Professor Short bio Gian Felice Giaccu (1972) is an Associate Professor at the University of Sassari, where he teaches Structural Design and Design of Large-Scale Structures. He graduated with honors in Structural Engineering from the University of Cagliari and worked as a consultant for Sting Engineering on large-scale projects. He pursued advanced research in Wind Engineering and Structural Dynamics at Northeastern University, Boston, earning a PhD in 2010. He held roles as Visiting Research Assistant and Research Associate, working on cable-stayed bridge dynamics. In 2013, he was appointed Honorary Fellow at the University of Liverpool, collaborating on wave propagation in structures. Since 2002, he has supervised numerous theses and contributed to teaching bridge design and construction techniques. His research focuses on structural dynamics, cable dynamics, wind engineering, and large infrastructure.
