Short bio

Elisabetta Garau is Associate Professor of Archaeology at the University of Sassari, affiliated with the Department of History, Human Sciences and Education. She teaches courses including Landscape Archaeology and Funerary Archaeology within the degree programmes in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage. She is actively involved in academic committees and governance structures of the study programmes. Her research focuses on landscape archaeology and the study of urban and territorial transformations in the Mediterranean, with specific emphasis on Sardinian contexts. She has conducted fieldwork and archaeological investigations at multiple sites, including Sant’Imbenia (Porto Conte, Alghero), and collaborated with heritage authorities on excavations, territorial surveys and materials analysis. Her scientific output includes contributions to international journals and conference proceedings, and participation in national and international research projects in medieval and Mediterranean archaeology.
