Professor Emeritus

Giovanni Maciocco, engineer and architect, is Professor Emeritus at the University of Sassari. He has taught at the University of Pisa, the Polytechnic University of Bari, the University of Cagliari, and at the then Faculty of Architecture of the University of Sassari in Alghero, which he founded and where he served as the first Dean for nine years. He has also been a visiting professor at foreign universities. 
His works in architecture and urban planning have received awards and have been pub-lished in numerous international journals and volumes. He is the author and editor of thirty books and scientific articles published in national and international journals on topics related to territorial and urban planning and architecture. He is Editor-in-Chief of the journal CTA – City Territory Architecture and of the book series Urban and Landscape Perspectives published by Springer. He is also Director of the urban planning series Metodi del territorio published by FrancoAngeli.
