Luca Malfatti Associate Professor Short bio Luca Malfatti is Associate Professor of Materials Science and Technology (academic field IMAT-01/A) at the Department of Engineering, University of Sassari. He is an expert in carbon-based nanomaterials, hybrid materials, nanocomposites and nanoporous materials obtained through sol-gel processes. He has authored more than 160 scientific articles, 3 patents and 9 book chapters on hybrid materials. He has been invited to several international conferences as a keynote or invited speaker and is coordinator of national and international bilateral research projects focused on the application of functional porous thin films. He has been a visiting researcher at CNEA (Buenos Aires), Sorbonne University (Paris), Osaka Metropolitan University and CSIRO (Melbourne). He has served on the Board of Directors of the International Sol-Gel Society and is currently a member of the editorial board of Materials and Assistant Editor of the Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology.
