Short bio

Marco Dettori is an Associate Professor of Public Health at the University of Sassari. He is a biologist and specialist in Microbiology and Virology, and his research activity focuses on epidemiology and public health, with particular attention to environmental and built environment determinants of health, drinking water quality, urban health, and health inequalities. He is the coordinator of nationally funded research projects and has previously served as Programme Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Nursing and Midwifery Sciences. He is also the departmental representative for Third Mission activities within the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Pharmacy. His scientific output includes numerous contributions published in international peer-reviewed journals. He is actively involved in editorial and peer-review activities for international scientific journals and teaches in medical and health-related degree programmes.
