Short bio

Sara Vignoli graduated in Architecture at DADU in Alghero in 2011 and attended the Master's Degree in Environmental Design at DIA in Dessau. Since 2015, she has been working in social design and product design. Over the years, she has specialised in the hybridisation of craft production through digital manufacturing, starting at Fablab Sassari. Since 2016, she has worked as a technology expert in several innovative educational workshops, using digital fabrication. She began working with ceramics in 2019, as part of a residency at Fablab Cagliari, in collaboration with Walter Usai, and then created several artefacts with ceramist Fabio Frau. In 2021, he participated in Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs in Sweden and the Netherlands. This experience led to research on drinking water in Sardinia and local clays and the European project “Uppu carafe”, followed by “Telling Tiles” and “In_vasi”, created using hybrid manual and digital techniques.
