Short bio

Alessandra Casu is Associate Professor of Urban Planning (academic field ICAR/21) at the Department of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning, University of Sassari, Alghero campus, where she teaches Urban Planning Theory and Urban Sustainability. She serves as Vice-Rector for Construction and Facilities at the University and has held coordination roles in degree programmes in territorial, urban and environmental planning and in international relations, including Erasmus mobility programmes. Her research focuses on the link between theory and practice in urban and territorial planning, with particular emphasis on sustainability, landscape governance and public participation in planning processes. She has contributed to research projects and international initiatives in urbanism and territorial studies and disseminates her work through scholarly conferences and publications on urban planning and sustainability.
