Paola Rizzi Associate Professor Short bio Spatial Planner and Designer, she holds an MBA. Her main research focus concerns the development of a sustainable, inclusive and long-term approach to urban and spatial planning, with particular attention to disaster mitigation, recovery and pre-disaster planning, as well as the design and use of gaming simulations in different fields. Visiting Researcher and Scholar at DMUCH/Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan, and Visiting Professor at several international institutions, including UDDI, Thammasat University, Ritsumeikan University, Kochi University, the Jagiellonian University and the Polytechnic of Cracow. Member of several scientific committees, including the Advisory Board of CUPUM – Computers in Urban Planning and Urban Management, and the editorial boards of Applied Environmental Research, the Journal of Indonesia Sustainable Development Planning and Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives. She is Director of the Diver's City [DsC] research and didactic urban laboratory and founder and director of international schools, including ISAGA, Awareness and Responsibility of Environmental Risk and PREPARe (2018–2019, Susaki; 2020, Nagoya; 2023–2026, Susaki).
